Below is some updated information about upcoming CARMEN meetings, and an announcement of a manuscript research position in Durham :


CARMEN : Successes, Plans, and Opportunities - An Open Round Table Discussion

This round table discussion is open to all medievalists, particularly
those interested in constructing international collaborative projects,
or in joining existing or prospective projects.


- (a) Registration and Hotel Bookings
Practical information and a draft programme for the meeting have now
been uploaded on the CARMEN web site

Registration : Could members please register your attendance at
this meeting with Claire McIlroy by 31
July 2011.

Hotels : To take advantage of the special rates negotiated
for the hotels listed, bookings must be finalised by 31 July 2011.

Please note that there will also be a small fee of EURO 15 per person for
this meeting to cover the travel costs between Madrid and Segovia that
has been organised by the local host.

- (b) Bursaries to attend the Annual Meeting
CARMEN has generated a fund to assist members of CARMEN institutions
in attending the Annual Meeting (see attached information). Please
contact Elizabeth Tyler if you would like
to apply for a bursary. Deadline : 31 July 2011.

(c) CARMEN Market Place
At its Annual Meeting, CARMEN annually organises a "Market Place"
whose aim is to help put together people and institutions who have
similar interests and are looking for partners for projects and
network building (see attached information).

If you would like to be a part of the market place please contact
Elizabeth Tyler and provide her with the
details of your proposed presentation. Deadline : 31 July 2011.
