Os candidatos deverão ter obtido o Doutoramento em qualquer área dos Estudos Medievais (História / Arqueologia / História de Arte / Literatura), nos três anos anteriores à data da submissão da candidatura e realizado os trabalhos que conduziram à atribuição do grau de doutor numa entidade de acolhimento externa ao Instituto de Estudos Medievais (IEM-NOVA FCSH).

O projecto de investigação, a subsidiar pelo financiamento Programático da UI, decorrrerá num período máximo de 36 meses e deverá ser elaborado de acordo com as linhas estratégicas definidas pelo PEst IEM-NOVA FCSH para os anos 2020-2023 (secção 14.2).

Para além dos outros elementos pedidos no edital do concurso, os candidatos terão, por isso, de apresentar um projeto de investigação e respetivo plano de trabalhos que se insira numa das seguintes áreas de estudo :
 Lisboa Medieval ;
 O Mar e as Cidades Marítimas ;
 Arquitetura Religiosa e/ou Militar na Idade Média Portuguesa ;
 Estudos Judaicos : Portugal.

The candidates must have completed a PhD in one of the areas of Medieval Studies (History/Archaeology/Art History/Literature) within the last three years. The work must have been hosted u+in a research institution other than the Institute for Medieval Studies (IEM-NOVA FCSH).

The research project, to be funded by the RU FCT Programmatic Funding, will be sponsored up to a maximum period of 36 months and should be in accordance with the Strategic Programme of the IEM – NOVA FCSH (section 14.2).

Therefore, in addition to the other elements required in the edital, the candidates are kindly requested to present a research project and respective work plan in one of the following areas of study :

 Medieval Lisbon ;
 The Sea and Maritime Cities ;
 Religious and/or Military Architecture in the Portuguese Middle Ages ;
 Jewish Studies : Portugal
